SOC Engineer III (Security Operations Centre); California, US. Required to join a rapidly growing International IT Company; this is an outstanding opportunity for a UK/EU based SOC Engineer/Security Engineer to relocate to the West Coast of the US in California for a minimum of 12 months.
My client WILL provide Visa/sponsorship assistance for UK/EU citizens.
The SOC Engineer will be required to provide network, server and applications security infrastructure support within my clients Security Operations Centre (SOC).
This will involve the following duties and tasks:
*Real time monitoring & analysis of my clients Network Security Infrastructure.
*Resolve complex trouble tickets, close fixed tickets & Technical incident escalation
*Providing 2nd or 3rd Line Support to Network, Server & Application security infrastructure
*Provide hands on installs/roll-outs for my clients Managed Security Services division
You will be required to possess the following skills/experience:
*Strong knowledge within Information Security
*Strong experience/exposure to Check Point security products (UTM, Firewalls, VPN's, etc) or Juniper (netscreen) firewalls
*Experience of Infrastructure Security; Threat & Vulnerability Management; Secure Content; Access & Identity Management solutions, including some of the following products: CheckPoint, Juniper (Netscreen), McAfee Intrushield, Bluecoat Proxy, CISCO, F5, ScanSafe, etc. (or similar); experience within one or more of the following areas is highly advantageous.
*Liaise with Security Vendors for quick resolution of customer problems.
*In-depth understanding of Windows/Unix OS
*Strong Networking skills such as TCP/IP, Switches, Routers, Load Balancing, etc.
*Strong telephone support experience, as well as client site installations.
Check Point (CCSA, CCSE, etc.)/Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIE, etc) certifications would be highly advantageous but not essential.
